Reuland Castle

Reuland Castle is a medieval hilltop ruin located near the village of Burg-Reuland in eastern Belgium, overlooking the Our valley. The site preserves visible remains of fortifications and an elevated position typical of border castles.

The castle dates to the medieval period and formed part of a network of border fortifications in the region; over time it fell into disuse and became a ruin, with the surviving masonry reflecting phases of medieval construction and later abandonment. Ownership and strategic importance shifted across centuries in the borderlands of what is now Belgium and Luxembourg.

Situated in the Walloon province near the municipality of Burg-Reuland, the castle stands in a rural, forested landscape close to the Belgian-Luxembourg border and is reached by local roads from nearby villages.
