Reiderland was a municipality in the province of Groningen in the northeastern Netherlands. It existed as an administrative unit until it was merged into the municipality of Oldambt on 1 January 2010.
The area is rural and close to the Dutch-German border, with low-lying agricultural land and local villages rather than major tourist attractions. Roads link the former municipality to nearby towns in Groningen province and across the border into Germany.
Reiderland functioned as a local municipal authority until the 2010 reorganization; municipal services and administration were transferred to Oldambt on merger. Historic village centres and local waterways served the community economy.
Geographically it sits in the northeast of the Netherlands in the province of Groningen, near the international border with Germany and within the flat polder landscape typical of the region.
