How to Get to Redemption
Redemption is reached via Argyle International Airport (SVD) with onward road or ferry links through Kingstown. There is no rail service; shared minibuses, taxis and ferries are the practical local options.
Argyle International Airport (SVD): The island’s main international gateway is Argyle International Airport (SVD), near Kingstown. Taxi or pre-booked transfer to parishes around the eastern coast (including Redemption) is the normal option - expect a 25-40 minute drive to towns in Saint Andrew Parish; typical metered taxi fares are in the range EC$40-60 (approx. USD 15-22).
(No other major airports): There are no other international airports on Saint Vincent; some visitors arrive by ferry from neighbouring Grenadine islands via Kingstown (see bus/ferry below).
Train: There are no rail services on Saint Vincent.
Bus / Minibus: The island is served by shared minibuses (route taxis) that operate from Kingstown bus stands and informal roadside stops. Journeys within the island are short - many runs are under 30-60 minutes - and fares are very low (typically a few East Caribbean dollars). Ferries to the Grenadines depart Kingstown’s ferry terminal; schedules and fares vary by operator and destination.
