Red Bull Arena in Leipzig is a modern football stadium in Saxony that serves as the home ground of the RB Leipzig professional football club. The venue was built on the site of the old Zentralstadion and opened in the early 21st century.

The stadium offers tiered seating around a natural grass pitch and includes corporate boxes, media facilities and spectator amenities meeting top-division requirements. Matchdays draw large local crowds and the stadium is used for national and international fixtures as well as events.

The current stadium development replaced an older, larger stadium and was part of Leipzig’s sports infrastructure renewal in the 2000s. It has hosted league and cup fixtures and occasional special events since becoming RB Leipzig’s home.

Red Bull Arena lies on the eastern edge of Leipzig’s inner urban area and is accessible by tram, regional rail and road, with dedicated transport links for major events.

• Capacity: Designed and used primarily for football, the stadium has a seating capacity in the low 40,000s and meets Bundesliga licensing standards for professional matches.
• Access and tenant: Located within Leipzig’s stadium quarter, it is well served by local public transport and is the regular home ground of the RB Leipzig football club.

• Book a stadium tour or match tickets online and choose a non-matchday for tours-guided visits are limited and quieter outside game days so you can see dressing rooms and behind-the-scenes areas without the crowds.
• On matchdays arrive at least 60-90 minutes before kick-off to clear security, pick up tickets and get into your block; lines and crowd-control measures can create delays close to kick-off.
• Use Leipzig public transport rather than driving-parking around the arena fills quickly and trams/S-Bahn connections are the practical way to reach the stadium.
