Queen Elizabeth II Park was a multi-sport complex in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, created for major sporting events in the 1970s. It served as a primary outdoor athletics and community sports venue for the city.
Facilities historically included an athletics stadium and other sports amenities used for regional and national competitions. The complex was an important local sports hub until it was severely damaged in the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake.
After sustaining structural damage in 2011 the park’s main stadium and several facilities were assessed as beyond repair and subsequently removed. The site has since undergone redevelopment planning and changes to its sporting infrastructure.
The park was located within the urban area of Christchurch in the Canterbury Region of New Zealand, serving residents and regional sports organizations.
