Pushkar Travel Guide
City Holi festival site and sacred pilgrimage town
Around the holy lake, Pushkar mixes pilgrimage and commerce: the only Brahma temple in India, crowded ghats, camel fair chaos, and countless stalls selling spices and rajasthani textiles - all set against ochre hills.
Why Visit Pushkar? #
Sacred and colorful, Pushkar attracts pilgrims and cultural travelers for the Brahma Temple, the lakeside ghats and the world-famous Pushkar Camel Fair each autumn. The town’s narrow bazaars, rooftop cafés and devotional rituals around Pushkar Lake create an intense sensory mix that contrasts with Rajasthan’s larger cities.
