About Providence Stadium

Providence Stadium is a purpose-built international cricket stadium in the village of Providence in Demerara-Mahaica, Guyana.

The venue features a full cricket ground, spectator stands and associated media and player facilities and is used for international and domestic matches. It was developed to host fixtures during the 2007 Cricket World Cup and remains a principal cricket ground in Guyana.

Built in the 2000s to international specifications, the stadium has been used for international tours and regional competitions since opening. It forms part of Guyana’s national sports infrastructure.

The stadium is located at Providence in Demerara-Mahaica on the coastal plain near Georgetown, Guyana’s capital.
