Pripyatsky National Park is a protected area of floodplain forest, marshes and meandering river channels in the Gomel region of Belarus. It conserves a large portion of the Pripyat River floodplain and associated wetland habitats.
The park is valued for birdlife, large mammals associated with wetland and forest habitats, and extensive reed and marsh systems. Active river channels, oxbow lakes and seasonally flooded meadows are principal landscape features drawing nature observers and researchers.
Established to protect the characteristic floodplain ecosystems of the Pripyat River, the park has been managed to conserve habitats and support regulated ecotourism and scientific study. Management focuses on maintaining hydrology and biodiversity typical of the southern Belarus floodplain.
