Pramuka Island

Pramuka Island is an inhabited island in the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) north of Jakarta, Indonesia, within the Jakarta Special Capital Region. It is one of the inhabited islands in the archipelago and hosts local residences and visitor facilities.

The island contains a village with guesthouses and basic tourist amenities, a pier for passing ferries and small boats, and nearby coral reefs used for snorkeling and diving. Visitors commonly use the island as a base for short reef excursions and to experience island village life.

Pramuka functions as part of the administrative structure for the Thousand Islands and provides services to residents and visiting tourists rather than large-scale resort infrastructure.

Geographically it lies in the Java Sea to the north of Jakarta and is reached by scheduled boats and chartered speedboats from Jakarta’s northern ports.
