How to Get to Prachatice
Prachatice in South Bohemia is best reached from Prague or České Budějovice by bus; direct coaches from Prague Florenc are frequent and typically quicker than rail connections. Once there, local buses and walking cover most needs.
Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG): Prague is the main international gateway for Prachatice. From Prague take an intercity bus from Florenc bus station to Prachatice (journey around 2.5-3.5 hours, depending on route).
Linz Airport (LNZ): Linz is closer geographically to southern Bohemia than some airports; from Linz you’ll travel by regional bus or train via České Budějovice to Prachatice (allow 2-3 hours plus transfers).
Train: Prachatice is connected by regional rail to České Budějovice and other South Bohemian towns; trains via České Budějovice are the common rail route and take over 2 hours from Prague with a transfer.
