Pournari Lake is a reservoir in the Epirus region of northwestern Greece created on the Arachthos River. The lake and its dam are part of regional water management infrastructure.
The reservoir is framed by steep valley sides and hills typical of the Epirus interior, and it is visited for fishing and local scenic drives rather than mass tourism. Shoreline roads and viewpoints along nearby routes give access to visual overlooks of the water.
The lake exists because of dam construction that impounded the Arachthos River to form a managed water body. Its primary roles are related to flow regulation and local resource use.
It sits inland in Epirus, in the general area of Arta and surrounding highland terrain in northwestern Greece, at about 39.25°N, 21.01°E.
