How to Get to Podujevë
Podujevë is a short drive northeast of Pristina and is most easily reached via Pristina International Airport (PRN) followed by a brief bus or taxi ride. Intercity buses and taxis from Pristina are frequent and inexpensive.
Pristina International Airport ‘Adem Jashari’ (PRN): Pristina is the closest airport for Podujevë. The airport shuttle to Pristina centre costs about €3-€5 and takes ~20-30 minutes; taxis to Pristina are ~€15-€25. From Pristina, Podujevë is a short overland trip by bus or taxi (roughly 20-40 minutes).
Podgorica/Tirana (regional options): For international travellers arriving from other countries, airports in Tirana (TIA) or Skopje can be used, but they require longer road transfers and border crossings; connect via bus or private transfer to Pristina and then to Podujevë.
Train: Kosovo’s rail network does not provide convenient scheduled passenger services for travel to Podujevë; trains are not the recommended option.
Bus: Regular buses and minibuses run from Pristina to Podujevë (some depart from Pristina’s main bus hub or from stops around the city). Travel time is about 20-40 minutes depending on traffic and exact start point. Fares are low (a few euros or less). Local private taxis are also commonly used for the short hop.
