The NEWBORN monument in Pristina is a large typographic sculpture unveiled on 17 February 2008 to mark Kosovo’s declaration of independence. It quickly became an emblematic public artwork and civic meeting point in the capital.

The monument consists of the word NEWBORN in large three-dimensional letters and has been repainted and modified repeatedly since its unveiling as part of official commemorations and artistic projects. It is frequently photographed and used as a backdrop for public events.
