Ploská is a mountain in the Veľká Fatra range of the Western Carpathians, within Slovakia’s Žilina Region. It is notable for a broad, relatively flat summit that contrasts with sharper neighbouring peaks.
The summit area is a grassy plateau that attracts hikers and ridge-walkers and provides open panoramas across the surrounding ranges; typical visits are day hikes from nearby trailheads. Trails crossing the summit link it with other peaks in the massif and form part of longer trekking routes.
Ploská is part of the geology and landscape of the Veľká Fatra, long used for grazing and seasonal shepherding as well as recreational hiking. The mountain is integrated into the region’s marked mountain-path network and mountain hut system.
