Plaza de América is a formal square within Parque de María Luisa in Seville, Andalusia, created as part of the city’s exhibition grounds for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. It is framed by museum pavilions and landscaped parkland.
The plaza and its pavilions were constructed in the late 1920s for the international exposition, after which they were repurposed for cultural institutions and museum use. The buildings reflect regionalist architectural styles applied to exhibition architecture of the period.
Located inside Parque de María Luisa in Seville, the plaza is near the larger Plaza de España and sits within the city’s historic parkland south of the historic centre.
