Place des Victoires is a planned circular square in central Paris created in the late 17th century to celebrate victories of King Louis XIV. The piazza is notable for its ringed arrangement of buildings and streets radiating from a central monument area.

A statue of Louis XIV occupies the square’s centre in successive replacements of the original monument, and the surrounding facades reflect late 17th- and early 18th-century urban architecture. The compact, symmetrical design yields a distinct urban node within the dense street pattern of central Paris.

The square lies in the 1st arrondissement, north of Les Halles and within easy walking distance of other historic central Paris sites.
