Place de Clichy is a busy circular square and road junction in northern Paris, lying at the meeting point of multiple boulevards and at the boundary of the 8th, 9th and 17th arrondissements. It functions as a major urban crossroads.

The square is surrounded by cafés, shops and apartment blocks and is notable for heavy traffic and lively street life rather than a singular monument. Pedestrians use the square to reach nearby Montmartre and the shopping streets of the 9th arrondissement.

The junction grew with Paris’s 19th-century urban expansion and the development of the boulevard system; it later became an important tram and metro interchange as the city’s transit network expanded.

Place de Clichy is located in northern Paris, at the convergence of several major boulevards and a short distance south of Montmartre.
