How to Get to Pirin National Park #
Pirin National Park’s common gateway towns are Bansko and Razlog. From Sofia (approximately 160 km), drive south via Trakia/A1 and follow signs toward Blagoevgrad then Bansko. Regular intercity buses connect Sofia with Bansko in summer; local services and taxis serve trailheads.

- Hire a licensed guide for longer ridge hikes; some huts and refuges require booking.
- Seek out the Vihren and Pirin peaks early in the morning to avoid afternoon clouds and crowds on popular routes.
