Pic Paradis
Mountain Highest point of Saint Martin with island views.
The highest point on the French side of Saint Martin, Pic Paradis offers short mountain trails and panoramic views over the island and Caribbean Sea; hikers use it for birdwatching and island panoramas.
Pic Paradis is the highest point on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, topping out at 424 metres. It sits on the French side of the island in the Collectivity of Saint-Martin.
The summit area provides panoramic views across the island and out to the Caribbean Sea on clear days, making it a primary viewpoint for photography and island orientation. Trails through remnant tropical forest run up the slopes and there is a roadside viewpoint partway to the top that is reachable by car.
The high point is a natural feature rather than a built monument and does not have a layered construction history. Over time the area around the summit has remained largely natural while visitor facilities such as viewpoints and basic trails have been added.
The peak occupies the interior high ground of Saint Martin on the northern (French) side of the island. The nearest principal settlement is Marigot on the French side; the summit sits inland above the island’s coastal plains and ridgelines.
- Access: The summit road and an observation point offer the easiest access for non-hikers and the clearest panoramic views across the island.
- Elevation: Located within the French Collectivity of Saint-Martin, the peak reaches 424 metres above sea level.
