Peucang Island

Peucang Island (Pulau Peucang) is a small island off the western tip of Java in Banten province, Indonesia. It lies inside Ujung Kulon National Park and is part of a protected coastal and marine zone.

The island is popular for day trips and short stays for swimming, snorkeling on nearby coral reefs, and wildlife viewing along sandy beaches and coastal forest. Accommodations are basic and park permits or ranger accompaniment are commonly required for visitors.

The island and surrounding mainland have long been part of local fishing and coastal lifeways and were incorporated into Ujung Kulon as part of conservation efforts. The national park protects coastal ecosystems and endangered species on the adjacent mainland.

Located off the westernmost coast of Java in Banten province within Ujung Kulon National Park, reachable by boat from nearby mainland villages such as Sumur and Labuan.
