Petalioi

Petalioi is a small archipelago of rocky islets in the South Euboean Gulf off the east coast of central Greece, within the administrative region of Central Greece. The group lies close to the island of Euboea and consists mainly of uninhabited or sparsely developed islets used for anchorage and private retreats.

The islands are visited mainly by boaters and yacht crews for sheltered anchorages and short excursions; there are no large public facilities and shoreline access is limited in many places. Natural rocky coasts and small coves are the primary on-site features rather than beaches or developed tourist infrastructure.

Historically the islets have been intermittently occupied or owned privately; they have not been the site of major permanent settlements or large public monuments. Ownership and use have tended toward private villas, small-scale fishing, and maritime activities rather than urban development.

Geographically the group sits off the eastern shore of Euboea (Evia), in the Aegean Sea sector of Central Greece. The nearest larger landmasses are the eastern Euboean coast and the mainland opposite; the islands are reached by local boat from nearby coastal towns.
