Perugia Cathedral

Perugia Cathedral (Cattedrale di San Lorenzo) is the Roman Catholic cathedral of Perugia in the Umbria region of Italy and is the seat of the local archbishop. It occupies a prominent position on Piazza IV Novembre in the historic centre.

The building seen today reflects construction phases spanning multiple centuries with Gothic and later alterations; the façade and interior were completed and altered in stages from the late medieval period into the Renaissance. The cathedral contains chapels and religious artworks associated with the city’s ecclesiastical history.
