Pathankot is best reached by rail or by road; Pathankot Junction (PTK) is the town's main railway hub. For air travellers the nearest major airports are Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport (Amritsar, ATQ) and Jammu Airport (IXJ), from which trains, buses and taxis link to Pathankot.

Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport (ATQ): Amritsar’s airport is the most commonly used for reaching Pathankot. From ATQ you can take a direct taxi to Pathankot (typical private/tourist taxi ~₹1,500-2,500; journey ~2-3 hours depending on traffic), or travel by surface public transport - take a train or bus from Amritsar city (Amritsar Junction) to Pathankot Junction (see train/bus card for fares and times).

Jammu Airport (IXJ): Jammu’s Satwari Airport is another option, often slightly closer for eastern approaches.
