How to Get to Paita
Paita is a coastal port in the Piura region best reached overland from Piura's airport. Frequent buses and shared colectivo services make the short transfer straightforward for most travellers.
Capitán FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico International Airport, Piura (PIU): Piura is the nearest airport for Paita. From Piura city there are regular road connections to Paita by bus, colectivo or taxi-travel time is approximately 45-75 minutes and bus fares are typically PEN 3-10 depending on operator.
Tumbes (TBP) / Talara (TPP): Tumbes and Talara are alternative regional airports but are generally either farther or less convenient than Piura for reaching Paita.
Train: There is no regular passenger rail service linking Paita with Piura or other coastal towns.
Bus / Colectivo / Taxi: Regular intercity buses and colectivos run the Piura-Paita corridor from Piura’s bus terminals; journey time around 45-75 minutes. Local colectivos and combis are cheap and frequent; larger bus companies operate scheduled services with slightly more comfort.
