How to Get to Paganica
Paganica (near L'Aquila) is most practically reached by bus or coach from Pescara or Rome rather than by direct intercity rail. Pescara Airport and Rome's airports provide the main air access, with regional buses or coaches completing the trip to L'Aquila and short local transfers into Paganica.
Pescara Abruzzo Airport (PSR): PSR is the nearest commercial airport to L’Aquila and Paganica. From Pescara Centrale you can reach L’Aquila by a combination of regional train (where available) and bus services; the overland journey typically takes 1.5-2.5 hours depending on connections, with fares varying by operator.
Rome-Fiumicino (FCO): Rome’s airports are also used by visitors; from Rome Termini there are regular bus services to L’Aquila (about 1.5-2 hours by coach) and regional buses from Rome Tiburtina or Termini to L’Aquila; fares are modest (coach prices often €8-€20 depending on service).
