Oświęcim (Auschwitz) is most commonly reached via Kraków (KRK) or Katowice (KTW) airports with onward regional trains or buses to Dworzec Oświęcim. Once there, the town and memorial sites are compact and accessible on foot or by short taxi rides.
Kraków John Paul II International Airport (KRK): Kraków (Balice) is the most convenient airport for visiting Oświęcim. From KRK you can get to Oświęcim by train from Kraków Główny (reachable by shuttle bus from the airport) - total journey time around 1-1.5 hours. Train fares from Kraków to Oświęcim generally range from PLN 8-30 depending on service and booking.
