Ostredok is the highest peak of the Veľká Fatra (Great Fatra) range in the Žilina Region of central Slovakia, topping out at about 1,596 metres. It is a prominent summit within the range and a common objective for hikers.
The summit is a grassy dome with open panoramas; from the top hikers can see broad ridgelines and neighbouring mountain massifs. Marked trails from surrounding valleys lead to the summit, and ridge walking between nearby peaks is a popular activity.
As a natural feature it has no single builder or construction phases; the peak has long been used for grazing and mountain routes and is part of the broader Veľká Fatra landscape. Modern mountain management and trail marking have made it accessible to day hikers.
