Oriole Park at Camden Yards

Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a Major League Baseball stadium in Baltimore, Maryland, and the home of the Baltimore Orioles; it opened in 1992 and helped popularise the retro-style urban ballpark. The complex is noted for integrating an exterior historic railroad warehouse into its site plan.

The ballpark offers multiple seating levels, a brick façade backdrop and fan-concourse areas, with the long B&O Warehouse directly beyond the outfield and the pedestrian Eutaw Street running between the field and the warehouse. It sits within the city core and is used for professional baseball games, special events and team-related activities.

Designed as a stadium for year-round professional use, Camden Yards replaced older suburban-ballpark models with a downtown location and exposed masonry elements. Since opening, it has remained the Orioles’ primary baseball venue and a reference point for later stadium designs.

The stadium is located in downtown Baltimore close to the Inner Harbor waterfront, integrated with surrounding streets and public transport links that serve the city’s central area.
