Orient Beach State Park is a New York State park located at Orient Point on the eastern tip of Long Island’s North Fork. It protects sandy beach, salt marsh and coastal habitats and provides public access to both ocean-facing and bay-side shoreline.
The park’s shoreline supports swimming, fishing, windsurfing and shoreline walking, with opportunities to observe coastal birds and marine scenery. Visits commonly focus on the barrier beach, bluffs and tidal inlets that form the local coastal landscape.
The park was established to preserve the unique tip-of-the-peninsula coastal environment and to offer public recreation along Long Island’s North Fork.
The park sits at Orient Point, adjacent to the village of Orient and within Suffolk County, at the eastern extremity of Long Island’s North Fork.
