Orhei is an easy day-trip from Chișinău - frequent marshrutkas and regional trains connect the two, with short travel times. For convenience and frequency, choose minibuses from the central bus station.
Chișinău International Airport (KIV): Orhei is normally reached via Chișinău. From the airport take a taxi to Chișinău centre (≈120-200 MDL, ~20-30 minutes) then catch a minibus or train north-east to Orhei; total travel time by road is often about 45-75 minutes.
Iași International Airport (IAS), Romania: A less-common option; onward travel requires cross-border connections and is usually slower than routing via Chișinău for Orhei-bound travellers.
Train: Orhei is on Moldova’s rail network with services from Chișinău Railway Station (Gara Chișinău). Trains are inexpensive and offer a relaxed ride; check current schedules for departures.
