How to Get to Orchha
Orchha is most conveniently reached via Jhansi (rail) or Khajuraho (regional airport) with a short road transfer to the town. Jhansi is the main rail gateway; from there taxis or local buses take you to the UNESCO historic town.
Khajuraho Airport (HJR): Khajuraho is the nearest airport to Orchha (about 40-60 km by road depending on route). Flights are limited but available from larger Indian cities; from Khajuraho you can take a taxi or pre‑booked transfer to Orchha-drive time is roughly 2-3 hours and taxi fares typically range from INR 800-2,000 depending on vehicle and negotiation.
Gwalior Airport (GWL) / Jhansi railhead: Gwalior is a larger airport option and Jhansi (rail junction) is the main railhead for Orchha.
