Onomichi is easiest reached by rail: take the Sanyō Shinkansen to Fukuyama Station and change to the JR Sanyō Main Line for the short ride into Onomichi Station. Hiroshima Airport (HIJ) is the nearest airport; larger international airports such as Kansai (KIX) are also used but involve longer rail transfers.
