Building Manhattan supertall residential skyscraper on Billionaires' Row
One57 on Manhattan’s 57th Street sits on Billionaires’ Row as a luxury residential skyscraper known for Central Park and skyline views. Sightseers photograph it amid Midtown’s high‑rise corridor.
One57 is a high-rise residential and hotel tower at 157 West 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, completed in 2014. It is part of the cluster of supertall buildings known as Billionaires’ Row near Central Park.
The building contains luxury condominium apartments and a luxury hotel occupying lower floors, offering direct views toward Central Park and the Midtown skyline. Public access is limited to the hotel and street-level retail; most observation points are private. The tower is notable for high-value real-estate transactions and luxury finishes rather than public visitor attractions.
Developed by Extell Development Company and designed by French architect Christian de Portzamparc, the project was constructed in the early 2010s and delivered in 2014. The mixed-use scheme combined hotel operations with full-floor condominiums and associated amenity spaces.
The tower sits on West 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan, immediately south of Central Park and adjacent to Carnegie Hall and other Midtown cultural institutions. It is within walking distance of Columbus Circle and accessible via multiple subway lines.

Tips for Visiting One57 #
- One57 is a private residential skyscraper with no public observation deck-plan only to view and photograph the building from public vantage points on West 57th Street or from nearby sections of Central Park rather than attempting to enter the lobby.
- For skyline and Central Park perspectives that show One57 well, head to Central Park's mid‑park viewpoints or the paths around the southeast corner of the park in late afternoon-this timing gives good light on the façade and avoids peak pedestrian traffic.
- Respect building privacy and security: the tower's entrance is controlled and residents expect discretion, so keep to public sidewalks and nearby public spaces for photography.
Best Time to Visit One57 #
For visiting the Midtown area and viewing the skyline, spring and fall (Apr-Jun, Sep-Nov) are the most comfortable; the building itself has limited public access.
