Ocean City, Maryland is primarily reached by car or regional airports; the nearest commercial airport is Salisbury-Ocean City-Wicomico Regional (SBY), while Baltimore/Washington (BWI) and Philadelphia handle most long-haul flights. There is no direct Amtrak service into the town, so most visitors combine air or rail with a shuttle, bus or rental car for the final leg.
Salisbury-Ocean City-Wicomico Regional Airport (SBY): The closest commercial airport to Ocean City, MD, SBY is roughly a 45-60 minute drive to Ocean City depending on traffic. Expect rental cars and taxis; taxis typically run in the $60-90 range to Ocean City and car rentals are the most flexible option for reaching the barrier island.
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI): BWI is the largest nearby international airport and is about 2.5-3 hours by car to Ocean City.
