How to Get to Numrug National Park #
Numrug sits in far-eastern Mongolia; access is normally from the regional center by unpaved roads. Travelers typically reach the area via a combination of flights to a nearby provincial airport (Ulaanbaatar is the national hub), then hire a 4x4 and local guide for the final 6-12 hour drive over gravel tracks. During summer months some tour operators run multi-day horseback and jeep treks into the park.

- Arrange a local 4x4 or a guided trip-roads are often unsealed and seasonally impassable.
- Bring binoculars for birding; the park is one of the better places in eastern Mongolia to watch raptors and migrating cranes.
