How to Get to Nufăru
Nufăru sits in Tulcea County close to the Danube lagoon system and is best reached by road from Tulcea or Constanța. Tulcea is the key local hub; beyond that, buses and boats provide local connections into the delta area.
Tulcea Airport (TCE - small regional/seasonal): Tulcea has a small airfield with limited or seasonal services; for most visitors flights are not a primary option.
Mihail Kogălniceanu / Constanța (CND): The larger international airport serving the Constanța area is Mihail Kogălniceanu (often used for arriving to the Romanian Black Sea coast). From Constanța or Tulcea the road journey to Nufăru (near the Danube lagoon areas) typically takes around 1-2 hours depending on route.
Train: There is limited rail coverage to small villages in the Danube Delta area. Tulcea is the main rail/road hub nearby (Tulcea Nord station); beyond Tulcea you will rely primarily on road or boat transport.
Bus: Intercity and regional buses operate from Tulcea and Constanța to villages and communes in Tulcea County. Buses and minibuses from Tulcea are the normal public-transport option to reach Nufăru; travel times from Tulcea are commonly under one hour depending on exact stop.
How to Get Around Nufăru #
Nufăru sits on the edge of the Danube Delta region; the village centre is small and easily walked. Getting around the wider area often involves cars, taxis or boats-boat taxis and organized boat trips are common for visiting nearby waterways and delta spots. Regional buses connect Nufăru with Tulcea and other towns, but timetables can be limited, so plan transfers in advance during the tourist season.
