North Twin Island is one of the two Twin Islands located in James Bay and administratively part of Nunavut. It is a small, remote, and uninhabited Arctic island.
The island offers coastal tundra shoreline and exposed rock typical of James Bay islands; there are no visitor facilities. Access is irregular and requires private boat or aircraft charter; there are no scheduled services.
Historically the Twin Islands have been charted and used intermittently for maritime navigation and occasional scientific visits. There is no permanent settlement and no continuous infrastructure development on the island.
Geographically the island sits in James Bay off the southern end of Hudson Bay. It is remote from major settlements; the nearest large population centers are on the Canadian mainland several hundred kilometres to the west and south.
