- Visit at dawn when maintenance crews are still setting out flowers - the light on the mosaic tiles is best then.
- Walk the adjoining park path to see the Soviet-era plaques and the worn bronze reliefs; the plaque inscriptions are in Azerbaijani and Russian.
- Combine with a visit to Ganja's Javad Khan Street and Shah Abbas Mosque; they are about a 15-20 minute walk apart.
