New Slains Castle

New Slains Castle is a ruined, cliff-top castle on the Aberdeenshire coast near the village of Cruden Bay in northeast Scotland, visible as a prominent masonry ruin on the headland above the sea.

Visitors go to view the extensive coastal ruins and the sea-facing cliff scenery; the site is frequently visited for coastal walks and photography. The castle is also known for its association with Bram Stoker, who visited the area and used local coastal settings as inspiration for his novel Dracula.
