The Neutrality Monument is a public monument in Ashgabat dedicated to Turkmenistan’s declared status of neutrality. It is a prominent element of the city’s monumental architecture and is topped by a gilded figure.

The site is a formal plaza and columnar monument visible from major avenues in central Ashgabat and is commonly photographed for its gleaming white and gold appearance. The upper figure was notable for being mounted on a rotating mechanism that allowed the statue to turn.

The monument was erected by the Turkmen government as a state symbol tied to the country’s official policy of neutrality proclaimed in the 1990s. It has been a focal point in Ashgabat’s broader program of large-scale monuments and civic architecture.

The monument stands in central Ashgabat amid the city’s wide boulevards and government complexes, forming part of the capital’s ensemble of state monuments and public spaces.
