The Neue Kirche in Berlin, commonly called the Deutscher Dom, is a church on Gendarmenmarkt in central Berlin originally built in the early 18th century and altered in later centuries.
The site combines a Lutheran worship space with museum displays about parliamentary history and an observation gallery in the tower that offers views across Gendarmenmarkt and the Mitte district. Architecturally it forms one side of the square together with the Französischer Dom and the Konzerthaus.
The church was constructed in the early 1700s, underwent significant rebuilding and restoration over the 18th and 19th centuries, and experienced damage and subsequent repair after World War II.
It stands on Gendarmenmarkt in central Berlin, within walking distance of other Mitte landmarks such as Unter den Linden and the Brandenburg Gate.
