Nesvizh Castle

Nesvizh Castle is a historic residential and defensive complex in Belarus historically owned and developed by the Radziwiłł family from the 16th century. The ensemble combines palace architecture with a large baroque church and an extensive landscaped park.

Key elements include the palace’s ceremonial rooms and galleries, the Corpus Christi Church which contains family crypts and funerary monuments, and the surrounding park with ponds and formal avenues. The site illustrates the evolution of a noble estate over several centuries.

The estate was transformed across the early modern period as the Radziwiłłs expanded and embellished the complex, adapting it to residential, ceremonial and representational uses. In later centuries parts were altered and later restored to present the historic interiors and grounds.

Nesvizh lies in the Minsk region of Belarus and forms a major cultural landmark within the surrounding town and landscape, accessible to visitors from regional cities.
