Neot Kedumim is a Biblical landscape reserve in Israel’s Central District, located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv near Modi’in. It is set up as a living museum that recreates the flora, orchards and agricultural settings described in the Hebrew Bible.
The site presents themed gardens, orchards, groves and demonstration plots laid out to illustrate ancient crops, herbs and traditional planting arrangements. Visitors can follow trails and participate in educational programs that explain ancient agricultural practices and the uses of biblical plants.
The reserve was developed in the 20th century to preserve and demonstrate species and landscapes mentioned in biblical texts and to offer educational programming. It has been managed as a public site for study and visitation since its creation.
Geographically the reserve sits in the foothills between the coastal plain and Judean hills, near the town of Modi’in in Israel’s Central District. It is reachable from both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv by road and sits on gently rolling countryside rather than in mountainous terrain.

Neot Kedumim is located off Route 443 between Modi’in and Ben Shemen. From Modi’in it’s a 15-20 minute drive; parking is available. Public buses run to Modi’in, from where a taxi is recommended.
