Nemërçka is a mountain massif in southern Albania noted for steep relief and limestone peaks, with its highest summit reaching approximately 2,482 metres. The range forms a rugged landscape of high ridges and valleys popular with hikers and local outdoor visitors.
Trails and routes lead to exposed ridgelines and summits that offer extensive views over surrounding valleys and toward the Ionian coast on clear days. The area is visited for day hikes, mountain walking and seasonal alpine activities.
The massif developed geologically as part of Albania’s mountainous spine and has been a local landmark for centuries, used by shepherds and local communities. Modern recreational use has increased as access improved in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Nemërçka lies in southern Albania, in the country’s upland interior, roughly within reach of towns in the Gjirokastër region and south of the central administrative areas; it occupies a position in the country’s mountainous southern zone.
