Ndumo Game Reserve is a protected wetland and floodplain reserve in the far northeastern corner of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, noted for its rich birdlife and intact floodplain habitats.
The reserve features seasonally flooded plains, river channels and patches of forest supporting waterbirds, raptors and wetland-dependent species; visitors use bird hides, guided walks and boat or river-edge observation for wildlife viewing.
Ndumo is managed for conservation of its wetlands and associated species and is an important site for protecting wetland ecosystems in the Maputaland region.
The reserve lies near the confluence of the Pongola and Usuthu (Maputo) rivers, close to the Mozambique border in the Maputaland area of northeastern KwaZulu-Natal.

Ndumo is remote: the closest larger towns are Jozini and Pongola in northern KwaZulu-Natal. Road access can be seasonal and rough; most visitors travel by 4x4 or arrange transport through Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife or local operators. Expect multi-hour drives from provincial airports and plan logistics in advance.
