How to Get to Naxos (city)
Naxos town (Chora) is served by the island's small airport (JNX) and by frequent ferries from Athens (Piraeus/Rafina). Ferries are the most common and economical way to reach the island; once on Naxos the port and airport are close to town.
Naxos Airport (JNX): Naxos has a small domestic airport with flights from Athens (Eleftherios Venizelos) operated by carriers such as Aegean/Sky Express (seasonal schedules). The airport is a short drive from Naxos town (Chora); taxis or local buses take about 10-15 minutes to the port and central area.
Athens International Airport (ATH): Most visitors arrive via Athens and then take a ferry from Piraeus or Rafina to Naxos (see below) or catch a domestic flight to JNX. Ferries are the most common option and offer many daily departures in high season.
Train: No direct rail access to the Cyclades - Athens is the main mainland rail hub if combining with other travel.
Bus / Ferry: Ferries from Piraeus (Athens) or Rafina connect to Naxos port; operators include Blue Star Ferries and several high-speed services.
