Navajo Mountain is an isolated, prominent massif on the Navajo Nation in southern Utah near the Arizona border. Its summit rises to about 10,388 ft (3,168 m) and it is a major landscape landmark and sacred feature for the Navajo people.

The mountain presents steep cliffs and a rugged profile that are visible for many miles; it is visited for its scenic prominence and cultural significance rather than for extensive developed visitor facilities. How to Get to Navajo Mountain #

Approach depends on which side is intended: from the north, drive south from Blanding, Utah toward Lake Powell and the town of Navajo Mountain; from the south and east, Mexican Hat (US-163) is a common staging point. Much of the immediate area is on Navajo Nation land-obtain permits and local guidance from Navajo Nation authorities before planning visits, and expect long dirt-road driving.
