By car from Thessaloniki use the A2 (Egnatia Odos) and regional roads to reach the different lake and valley areas; driving distance varies by which sector you visit (many sites are roughly 30-60 km from Thessaloniki, so travel times range from about 30 minutes to around 1.5 hours).

Public transport to the park is limited and fragmented: regional KTEL buses run from Thessaloniki to towns around the lakes, and from those towns you will generally need a taxi or local transfer to reach specific trailheads and observation points.
