Narachanski National Park

Narachanski National Park is a protected area in the Minsk region of Belarus centered on the country’s largest natural lake, Lake Narach. It was created to conserve the lake, its wetlands, and surrounding forests.

Shoreline promenades, picnic areas, and boat activities on Lake Narach, together with forest and wetland habitats that support waterfowl and other wildlife. The park offers marked walking and cycling routes of varying lengths that link beach areas, small coves, and inland trails.

The park was designated to protect the Lake Narach landscape and its associated ecosystems and has been managed to balance recreation with conservation. Over time visitor facilities such as piers, beaches, and trail wayfinding have been developed to concentrate tourism activity on established areas.

The park sits in northern Minsk region around Lake Narach, north of the city of Minsk and near small towns such as Myadel. The setting is lowland lakeshore interspersed with mixed forest and peatland habitats.

• Best time to visit: Seasonal boat services and trails are the easiest ways to sample the lake and nearby wetlands; summer is the main visitor season.
