How to Get to Námestovo
Námestovo is a small town on the Orava reservoir with limited rail access; buses from regional centres (Žilina, Dolný Kubín, Kraków area) are the usual way in. Use nearby airports for the regional hub and continue by road.
Poprad-Tatry Airport (TAT): The closest airport for northern Slovakia (about 80-140 km depending on route); used mainly for seasonal and regional flights. From Poprad, combine train or bus to reach Námestovo - total travel typically 2-3 hours and costs vary by connection (roughly €6-20 for buses/trains plus any taxi leg).
Kraków John Paul II International (KRK): A larger international option (around 120-160 km). From Kraków, take a bus or train toward northern Slovakia and transfer to local buses serving Námestovo; expect total travel 2-3 hours depending on connections and fares from ~€10 upwards.
